Southern Motherhood is: Finding your community, supporting and uplifting other mothers, because we have all been in the trenches before and we can all come out smiling.

What are you passionate about the most: I am passionate about inspiring women to be who they want to be regardless of the title of “mom”. I am also incredibly passionate about moms and women being an advocate for their own health! After a shocking breast cancer diagnosis, I know the importance of early detection no matter what the disease is.

You would be surprised to know: That this mama grew up on a horse ranch and is one hell of a barrel racer!

Favorite class, you’ve ever taken high school or college: Sociology my freshman year of college. The professor was wildly entertaining, so much so that I convinced my then best friend (now my husband) to sit through a class, even though he was not a student at the college.

How I met my husband: It is quite the crazy story but basically, I’ve always been a hustler and drove girls around for extra cash in college and one such drop off led to meeting my husband.

Married Tradition: Not sure if this is a tradition, but I do not do the grocery shopping in my house. My husband takes care of that. In return I give a mean military regulated haircut.

My favorite motherhood memory: The day my three toddlers came to the hospital to meet their newly born little sister. The overwhelming emotion of having them crawl up on the bed with me and marvel at our new baby is a feeling I will never forget.

How many kids do I have: 2 boys, 2 girls.

Favorite Southern Tradition: I am new to the south, but I would say that good old Southern hospitality if something I can get used too!

The best part of being a blogger: The women I have connected with, some who have become true real life friends.

What I do in my spare time: If we are being honest, I am probably shopping online. Or chasing my giant dogs around the yard. Oh, and dreaming of bread!

Sweet Tea or Coffee: Coffee.

Favorite Colors: To wear….neutrals!

My Southern Style is: I do not embody any sort of “Southern Style” my style is very street style, and fashion forward. I like to take risks and wear what most people don’t think they can.

Favorite Target Isle: Candles and throw pillows! Can you ever really have enough of the two?
